Forgotten Friends of Long Island is a trusted animal rescue group for the community. Our staff is dedicated to the rescue of companion animals. These are animals that have been in municipal shelters for an extended period of time and/or overlooked by both the general public and rescues. Sadly, and through no fault of their own, these animals are homeless. Many waiting patiently to be euthanized. Forgotten Friends will also intervene, whenever possible, to rescue animals in dire need of immediate attention.
We are a 501c3 organization and home to many wonderful Long Island rescue animals. Our aim is to find a home in for our beloved rescue animals. If you would like more information about what we do as an animal rescue group, please reach out to us today. We will answer any questions or concerns you may have about our process and the animals we have for you. We have been helping out across Long Island for years and proudly find great homes for all of the rescue animals at our shelter.
So please, contact us today for more information about the adoption process. When you reach out, we can provide you with all of the necessary details on how to adopt.
ANIMALS ARE SEEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!

Forgotten Friends of Long Island is a 501c3 non-profit volunteer organization. We are an organization that is dedicated to the rescue of companion animals that have been left in municipal shelters across Long Island. These are cats and dogs that have been left for an extended period of time. Many were simply overlooked by both the general public and other rescue groups, but not by us! Forgotten Friends has no paid staff, so every dollar we raise is used to provide quality medical attention and rehabilitation for the rescue animals that are in our care. We often have events to help raise money. Please check out our Facebook page to follow along.

Animal rescue organizations are also a way to serve the community, as it is a way to help animals in need. At our animal rescue group, we work to ensure that all animals are housed properly and treated humanely, while also providing a safe place for the public to visit. And most importantly, we strive to find forever homes for each pet in our care.
